Hello kids!

Merry Christmas !!!!!!

How are you? How are your Christmas holidays going?

Are they Ok? Are you bored? Where are you? Are you at home? At your grandparents’ house? At your antie’s…? Write something on the blog and tell me how you are spending these days…

This is what I did. I went to my parents’ house in the village to spend Christmas Eve (24^th December) and Christmas Day (25^th December). I went by train on 23^rd December. I set ‘The crib’ or ‘Manger’ (this is the Nativity Scene; typical Spanish decorations at Christmas).

This is now, holidays!  But our last class of this year was a special one. We invited your parents and told them the story of Little Flame’s first Christmas.

Eva had to leave before telling the story to your parents; so, I recorded our rehearsal (practice) for them to see it.

You did it very well although you were a bit nervous. As we told the story three times, you improved (did it better) a lot!

‘Little Flame’s First Christmas’

Hello, my name is Little Flame. I am one year old. I’m orange, red and black. I have a long tail and two black wings.

When I am angry, I throw flames…

This is my family:

This is my mum. Her name is Bea.

This is my dad. His name is Joaquín.

These are my sisters. Their names are Ana, Alicia, Miriam and Susi.These are my brothers. Their names are Andrés, Mateo and David.

On Christmas Eve, Little Flame went to see Father Christmas to tell him the things that he wanted for Christmas. Then, an elf says “Father Christmas has a cold. You have to distribute the presents”.

Then, they said to Little Flame “You were very good. You can give the presents to the kids.” So, Little Flame took all the presents. He put them in the sledge of Father Christmas and … Presents for everyone!

When he woke up, Little Flame went to the Christmas tree and he found a present. The present was a little car. He was very happy and he played with it every day. Little Flame wishes you MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

We pulled crackers and we handed our Games' Awards!

Let's Prepare Little Flame's Story!!!!

Friday 12^th December,

Hi everybody!

First things, first. Happy Birthday, Angela!!!!

What did we do in class?

We corrected homework.

We practised actions with ‘I / he / she/ it’. Do you remember?

 You mime something and we had to guess what you do.

I watch TV in tin the afternoon.	César watches TV in the afternoon.
I finish English class at 7.10 in the evening.	Raúl finishes English class at 7.10 in the evening.
I sleep at night.	He sleeps at night.
I go swimming on Monday.	Lucía goes swimming on Saturday.
I do my homework every day.	Sara does her homework every day.
I play computer games at the weekend.	David plays computer games at the weekend.
I read a book in the living room.	Ángela reads a book in the living room.

We watched videos telling about actions. And we sang!

Then, César and Eva finished their part of the story. They wrote it again because they didn’t know if it was in their house or what had happened!

But, it didn’t matter! They wrote it again and we could practice!

Eva brought Little Flame and told us that she had been very busy and she couldn't do many things with Little Flame this time! But they played together.

Yes, everybody needs a holiday. Little Flame, too!

He is going to spend Christmas with his family in Learn & Enjoy.

Your homework this week consists in learning your part for Friday! Because we are going to tell our Christmas story with Little Flame!

Friday December 5^th

Hello again kids!

What did we learn yesterday?

We started the class listening to Sara.

She told us what Little Flame and she did during the week. They played a lot. Sara taught Little Flame how to do somersaults. And they performed a show for us! Little Flame ate pizza and he also slept with Sara.

Sara was so happy with Little Flame that she has asked Father Christmas to have her own dragon. So, Little Flame can have a friend!

 

We revised or learnt the days of the week. And we played a game. Can you say the days of the week backwards? Can you say the days of the week forwards?

We learnt to use ‘I’ and ‘He’ or ‘She’ with actions.

Thanksgiving Day!!!

Friday 28^th November, 2014

Hello everybody!

How are you today? It’s still raining!!!!

Raúl told us what he had done with Little Flame. They had breakfast, lunch and dinner together. They played a lot, especially on Friday because there wasn’t class at school. Then Raúl could play the whole day (all the day) with Little Flame.

We couldn’t finish the story yesterday. I forgot there was no class at school yesterday. That’s why Eva and César didn’t come to class and they have part of our story! So, we will finish next Friday.

Anyway, we started practising.

We are going to make a “little book” with your pictures and your handwriting; but you have to tell us the part you wrote. That’s why you are going to start learning the story, OK?

Thanksgiving Day!

Thanksgiving is a very important date in the USA. We watched a video that told us the story of this day. And we also read about it and did a word search with vocabulary on Thanksgiving.

For homework you can do one of these two things:

Write four sentences (lines) about Thanksgiving Day or write four sentences (lines) with these words: pilgrims, turkey, feast and family. (One sentence with each word. Four in total)
