Hello Again!

Hello everybody! Welcome back!

Where’s David? He’s missing. He didn’t come to class. I hope to see you next Friday to say “Hello” again!

We started a new course and we started working a lot but also playing!

You are in a new year at school, so our questions were:

• How old are you?
• What school year are you in?

Then we learnt classroom language:

• How do you say “ventana”?
• How do you  spell “door”?
• What does “whiteboard mean”?

 We had the picture of a flower (a daisy) and you wrote words in English in each petal. After that we asked and answered questions using “why?” and “because”. 

• Why did you write “green”?  Because it’s my favourite food.
• Why did you write “pizza”? Because I like pizza.
• Why did you write “tiger”? Because I like animals.

We started talking about the weather.

What’s the weather like?

Sun		It’s sunny
Cloud		It’s cloudy
Rain		It’s rainy
Wind		It’s windy
Fog		It’s foggy
Snow		It’s snowy
What’s the weather like?
Hot/cold	It’s cold / It’s hot

And we finished the class playing a game. “The wind blows for those who…

…have a brother” And the kids with a brother had to sit on the chair. We were taking out chairs and the winner was the only one who sat on the chair that was left!

For homework, don’t forget to bring a photo or to draw a picture related to the weather because then you’ll have to describe it in class.
