What Time Is It? It's Half Past Ten.

Friday 10th April!

Hello everybody!

What did we learn on Friday?
We started talking about Easter holidays.
Yes, I know Little Flame is lazy. He is still on holiday. He will start visiting you next week.
This term, Little Flame is going to meet famous people from the USA (America) and Great Britain. These people are (now) famous because they were (in the past) writers, painters, kings, inventors etc.  We are going to (future) talk about them next Friday.

What did we learn in class?

We learnt the time in English.
What time is it? It’s one o,clock.
What’s the time? It’s eight o’clock.
We say o’clock, when it is the exact hour.
When it isn’t the exact hour we say
The minutes (a quarter, half, five, twenty-five)
+ PAST / TO + the hour
Look at the picture ------>
Then, we wrote the time on the clocks and asked and answered questions.
 ·         What time is it on the first clock? It’s twenty to three.
·         What time is it on the second clock? It’s half past seven.
·         What time is it on the third clock? It’s ten to six.
·         What time is it on the ninth clock? It’s twenty past three

After that, we learnt daily routines.
And we asked and answered questions.
·         What time do you get up? I get up at eight o’clock.
·         What time do you have a shower? I have a shower at half past eight.
·         What time do you go to school? I go to school at a quarter to nine.
·         What time do you watch TV? I watch TV at twenty to seven.
And…the class finished!

For homework, write five things you do every day. Say what time you do these things.
For example: I go to school at twenty past nine.

We are going to start our last edition of the games next Friday. And also to introduce Little Flame to famous people from the past…

Bye! See you on Friday!!!
