What Do your Parents Do?

Hello kids! How’s your weekend?

Last Friday, Sara told us a story about Little Flame and the animals.

And she told us about her week with Little Flame.

Little Flame met Valerit, at last. They are very good friends

and …they are in love!

Then, we played ‘Hot potato’. You can pronounce even the difficult forms of the verbs…well, sometimes. Do you remember how to pronounce these… does, goes, dances?

After that, we talked about what your parents jobs.

·         What does your mother do? She is a doctor.

·         What does your father do? He is a magician.

·         What does your mother do? She is a hairdresser.

·         What does your father do? He is an IT Technician.

And we continued talking about your parents:

·         My mother is a doctor. She works in a hospital. She sometimes works at night.

·         My father is a teacher. He works in a school. He never works on Saturday.

This is your homework. Write about five people and say where they work: in a hospital, in the street, in a school, in a shop etc.

This week Little Flame is with David. He has to write about prepositions. Something like this:

This is my bedroom. Little Flame is next to the wardrobe.

Next week we are going to talk about a project. Watch the videos and we will talk about them next Friday.

What do People Do at the Weekend?

Last class we talked about activities people do at the weekend. The weekend is Saturday and Sunday.

We say the person + the activity + who with?

·         Clara goes to the cinema with her mother and father.

·         David plays football with his brother.

·         Eva dances with her mum.

·         Raúl goes to the amusement park with his family.

·         Ángela roller-skates with Lucía.

·         Sara paints with César.

We listened and said things people do at the weekend.

·         Mr. Jones plays golf at the weekend.

·         Mrs. Jones watches TV at the weekend.

·         Mr. Jones washes the car at the weekend.

·         Mrs. Jones paints pictures at the weekend.

Present with the Simpsons

We started taking Little Flame to our house. First, he visited Sara. He is going to meet Valerit. I hope they become friends. This term we are going to show Little Flame our world. First, Sara is going to teach them about animals. She can go to the zoo and tell him the animals that live there. The animals that live in the forest or in the jungle and also pets.

For example:

I go to the zoo with my family and Little Flame on Saturday. In the zoo, we see lions, tigers, giraffes and monkeys. I like giraffes because they are very tall. Little Flame plays with the monkeys.

On Sunday I go to the forest. We see squirrels and birds. The birds sing very well. Little Flame flies with the birds.

Hello kids!

It was great to see you again! But…where’s César? We will see him next Friday.

First you told me what presents you got at Christmas and on Twelfth Night. Do you remember the questions?

You must have been very good kids because you got a lot of presents!!!

Father Christmas brought Sara an orange dragon which looks like ‘Little Flame’, her name is Valerit. Valerit came to visit Little Flame but he is still on holiday. They can meet next Friday. If Valerit wants to…

We met Teresa’s family.

·         Who is this? He’s Teresa’s brother. His name is Pedro.

·         Who is she? She’s Teresa’s mother.

·         Who is he? He’s Teresa’s father.

·         Where are they? They are at the amusement park.

·         When do they go to the amusement park? They go to the amusement park on Saturday.

·         How often do they go to the amusement park? They sometimes go to the amusement park.

How often? Always, usually, sometimes, never.

·         Teresa and Pedro always go to the amusement park with their family.

·         Teresa never goes to school on Saturday.

·         Pedro usually goes swimming at the weekend.

·         Teresa’s father sometimes travels by train.

After that we played some games.

First, we had to mime actions that our classmates had to guess.

                                                      

·         What does Eva do? She paints.

·         What does David do? He writes.

·         What does Raúl do? He watches TV.

Then, we played ‘Hot potato’. We say an action ‘dance’ and throw the ball. The other person catches the ball and says ‘dances’ and a new action, for example ‘play’, and throws the ball.

…and…the class finished!
